Children’s Community Art Show
COMMUNITY ART PROJECT
Join us for our 2nd annual Children’s Community Art Show. This year we are inviting the first grade class to create and submit a canvas of 8×10 on what community means to them. This is completely optional and is not required. If your family wants to participate, canvases can be purchased on amazon or at local art supply store. The art project will hang on the walls at Black N Brew cafe in Philadelphia this spring.
Here are the guidelines:
1. Think about what COMMUNITY means to you? How could you show that in your artwork?
2. Draw, paint, sketch, color, do what you love on a piece of paper or canvas no bigger than 8 x 10.
3. Put your name on the back.
Sometime in early June, you and your family will be invited for an ice cream social at the cafe to view the artwork and celebrate community. And, if you can’t make that event, photos will be shared once the artwork is hanging up.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. Below is a sample piece from our last Children’s Community Art Project. We cannot wait to see your beautiful and creative artwork!
